Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy focuses on an individual’s ability to perform the broad range of everyday life activities. OT promotes independence by improving the skills required to perform these activities and/or teaching alternative ways to accomplish them.

After receiving a physician referral, Excell will assess the patient’s functioning and provide a plan of care in the use of therapeutic, creative self-care activities of daily living and adapted to their living environment.

Physicians commonly order occupational therapy for patients with stroke, neurological diseases, amputation and other disabilities.

Your home will be the environment in which you learn to manage everyday activities of daily living like bathing and personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation and eating.

The Occupational Therapist is an expert with tips, tricks and new techniques to help you re-master daily skills. He or she will build activities you enjoy into your routine to make your therapy more enjoyable and give it meaning.
